This was just a few days back while I'd been to one of the Mumbai suburb called Kandivili. We'd been to visit an orthopaedician. While we waited for our turn, I stood out near the road and saw the leafless tree near the Indian Oil petrol / gas station. It amazed me as it was dead and still standing tall. I decided to click a few pictures and you can see the results already.
These are shots taken using my Samsung Corby Pro, 3 megapixel camera. These lack clarity but what I liked was the empty streets early in the morning. I know now every mumbaikar whishes that the streets remain this empty for the whole day.
It was a rainy day and the dark clouds as if, followed us from Chembur to Kandivili as when I asked one of hospital guys whether it had rained all night or not, he said, well it has just started raining.

I really like the last photo...the openness invites us to enter and wonder.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love your work, very interesting and beautiful.
Empty streets are a rare blessing just about anywhere these days! And I know all about orthopedists having had knee surgery 3 weeks ago! Hope you mom in OK.
And hope that all is well with you!
«Louis» thanks you for visiting San Francisco Bay Daily Photo.
Last photo is so beautiful...Lovely!
First time ever I see a picture of a nerly empty street in Mumbai!
Its the best time of the day, especially on the Indian roads, as the chaos and din has not yet started! Shots of same location at different angles are fantastic, that too the last one is beautiful:)

Wow, empty street in Mumbai?! I love the calm of the photos.
Beautiful photos and my favourite is the last one.
What a wonderful moody sky framed by the leaves in that last shot.
Even tough dead, this tree still has a stately appearance and a wonderful shape.
Thanks for your comment. I agree, the images are kind of creepy.
great shots.
your images have a truly unique quality to them and I really like them. they have atmosphere, and who couldn't prefer empty streets! the dead tree standing is a testament to its life and strength. happy day to you.
Beautiful cityscape with excellent light. Greetings.

Love the bits of red in each photo!
I once asked a farmer in Vermont if he thought it would rain. He scratched his chin, looked at the sky, and replied, "It ain't gonna rain until it does."
Heisann!
